Forgiveness

by Tracey Metzger

I realized that unforgiveness was hiding in my heart. It had been there so long I didn’t even notice it anymore. It surprised me when I realized it was still there. I thought I had already gotten rid of it. I learned something. I have to make forgiveness a practice.  I need to make a good sweep of my heart on a regular basis because if I am not careful the dust can pile up again.

Just like a good clean sweep of my floors feels so good after it’s done, so does a good clean sweep of my heart.
